'Ruta de l'ART' in Castelló d'Empúries

The 'ART Route' arrives once again in Castelló d'Empúries!

What is the 'Ruta de l'ART' and how did the idea come about? The model is inspired by the "Temps de Flors" in Girona. During a visit, I thought that a similar exhibition could be organised in Castellón, but focused on displaying works by renowned artists.

The aim is to highlight the ancient stonework, the history of the village, its corners and monumental buildings (including private houses), combined with prestigious contemporary art. The biggest challenge was to get the renowned artists to believe in it, but some have been participating since the first year. Another feature of this Route is the inclusion of previously selected emerging artists who exhibit alongside established artists.

Various renowned artists exhibit their works in the most emblematic buildings of the Historic Centre of Castelló d'Empúries.

The 'ART Route' is a signposted itinerary through the medieval layout of the streets of the historic centre.
