CurtÀneu - Valls d'Àneu International Short Film Exhibition

The CurtÀneu is the International Short Film Festival of the Àneu Valleys, in the heart of Pallars Sobirà, and is part of Catalunya Film Festivals, the coordinator of film festivals in Catalonia.

Launched in 2016, this project aims to bring the best short films to the residents and visitors of Valls d'Àneu, offering a curated selection of internationally acclaimed short films, many of which have won awards at prestigious competitions. CurtÀneu - Valls d'Àneu International Short Film Festival CurtÀneu aims to foster local creativity and showcase emerging talent from the western region, creating an accessible, open, and participatory space where cinema becomes a vehicle for culture and emotion.

But CurtÀneu is much more than an exhibition: it's a meeting point for filmmakers, audiences, and cultures, a place of exchange and learning that champions cinema as an educational, social, and transformative tool. The exhibition champions values such as diversity, inclusion, and accessibility, seeking to bring the cinematic experience to everyone.

The screenings extend throughout the municipality, reaching the Esterri d'Àneu school, high school, daycare center, and nursing home, making cinema a part of everyday life for all generations.

With each edition, CurtÀneu strengthens its commitment to quality, proximity, and passion for the seventh art, turning the Àneu Valleys into a privileged setting where cinema and mountains go hand in hand.
