December 3rd, International Day of Persons with Disabilities

03/12/2025

In 1992, the UN established December 3rd as the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. This day aims to raise public awareness of disability-related issues and promote the understanding that people with disabilities have the same rights as everyone else in society.

At femturisme.cat, we share this vision and offer routes and itineraries tailored to help you discover hidden gems and hidden gems across the country with all the necessary amenities. Catalonia is a land rich in diversity and beauty, and it's essential that everyone can enjoy its tourist attractions.

In this regard, it is important to highlight that there are numerous places in Catalonia that have been adapted for people with disabilities. Some of the most notable include:

  • Natural parks with accessible trails.
  • Museums that offer adapted guided tours.
  • Beaches with accessibility services.

Furthermore, accessible tourism not only benefits people with disabilities but also enriches the experience of all visitors. Inclusion and accessibility are values that should be present in all tourism activities.
