Pujalt
L'Era de Cal Mensa a La Guàrdia Pilosa
This event is over.

'Jaç a la Palla' is an initiative that began in 2002 with the aim of incorporating new repertoires into the Guàrdia Pilosa (Pujalt). This festival, which takes place on the first weekend of August, uses the end of the harvest as an excuse and relies on the collaboration of local farmers to put on a festival on a straw stage.

The 'Jaç a la Palla' is not just a musical event, but also a celebration of local culture and agricultural traditions. La Guàrdia Pilosa, located in the Anoia region, is a small village renowned for its natural beauty and tranquil surroundings. Visitors can enjoy spectacular landscapes and a rich local cuisine featuring fresh, locally sourced produce.

Under the umbrella of 'Jaç a la Palla' (Jazz with Straw), the festival aims to bring together jazz groups, or groups closely associated with jazz, with musical offerings that fuse other styles and sounds. This combination of jazz and straw provides a unique experience for festival-goers, who can enjoy the music in a welcoming, rural setting. The invited artists often present new compositions and reinterpretations of classics, making each edition special and different.

The public can enjoy live concerts, a film screening, and various performances that transform the space into a cultural meeting point. There will also be a straw installation, a traditional bamboo construction, and a photography exhibition, all of which reinforce the participatory and creative nature of the event.

If you love live music and want a unique experience in a natural setting, do n't miss this! Don't let the opportunity pass you by to enjoy this singular festival in Guàrdia Pilosa, where music and nature merge in an unforgettable celebration.
