Mother's Day in Catalonia is always celebrated on the first Sunday in May, although the date can vary depending on the country!
The celebration of Mother's Day has its origins in ancient Greece and Rome, where the mothers of the gods were honored. In the Middle Ages, "Mothering Sunday" began to be celebrated, when children who lived far away would return home to visit their mothers.
Today, Mother's Day is celebrated with gifts, cards, and flowers, as well as family meals and many more surprises! It's a day to honor and thank mothers for their love and dedication, as well as to remember those who are no longer with us.
It's a perfect opportunity to put our creativity into practice and do something special for our mothers!
