National Meeting of Seafaring Giants in l'Estartit

The National Gathering of Sea Giants brings together several groups of giants from across the region in L'Estartit to celebrate seafaring culture and popular traditions.

The event takes place in the Plaza de la Llevantina and includes a parade through the town's most emblematic streets, a walk along the seafront, and a return trip to the starting point. During the day, each group has the opportunity to show off their giants, especially those representing figures linked to life and work at sea.

The event concludes with a fellowship ceremony, dances, and a joint closing ceremony as a symbol of coexistence and appreciation for popular culture. Groups from different parts of the Catalan coast participate, offering a visual and festive spectacle open to everyone.

The activity is organized with the support of various local entities and cultural institutions.
