Verbena of Saint John in Castelló d'Empúries

Castelló d'Empúries celebrates the festival of San Juan with the arrival of the Flame of the Canigó!

Habaneras performed by the group Son de l'Havana at the Lonja in Plaça Joan Alsina will liven up the wait for the arrival of the Flame of Canigó, with coca and sweet wine for all attendees. The event will then move to the Empuriabrava Seafront Promenade, where the bonfire will be lit, followed by dancing with Los Manolos, and, at midnight, a spectacular fireworks display.

On Tuesday, the Feast of Saint John, the celebration will continue at 6 p.m. in the Plaza de los Hombres with a sardana performance by the Cobla Rossinyolets. And starting at 11 p.m., the Cloister of the Convent of Santa Clara will host a concert by Joanjo Bosk.
