Escaldes-Engordany
Escaldes-Engordany is a city and the seventh parish of Andorra, created in 1978 from the old homonymous fourth of the parish of Andorra la Vella.
The old urban centers of Les Escaldes and Engordany were united in the year 1726. Today they form an urban continuum with Andorra la Vella, concentrating two thirds of the population of the Principality in the urban area.
Charlemagne avenue is the continuation, on the other side of La Valira, of Meritxell avenue in Andorra la Vella, forming a long avenue dedicated to commerce.
