Ger
Ger is part of the Cerdanya region, province of Gerona. The municipal term has an extension of 33 km2 and the town is located at 1034 m. of altitude.
The limits of the municipal area are to the north with the French Alta Cerdanya, to the east with Guils de Cerdanya, Bolvir and Fontanals, to the south with Das and Isòvol and to the west with Meranges. It has added the nuclei of: El Molino de Ger, Gréixer, La Dehesa de Saga, La Pleta de Saga and Saga.
Ger is a municipality of medieval origin. It is already mentioned in the year 839 in the act of consecration of the Seu d'Urgell with the name Geri.
It was the possession of the monastery of San Sadurní de Tavèrnoles and the monastery of Cuixà.
In 1860 Ger had a population of 622 inhabitants.
