Pradell de la Teixeta
Municipality of the Priorat region, on the border with the Baix Camp region, damaged by the western slopes of the Sierra de la Argentera (779 m), also called the Pradell mountain range. The village is located at 463 m altitude, is the Pradell Valley.
Pradell is not just a group of houses and a privileged environment near the sea and the mountains. The town is also the people, shops, equipment, customs, festivals and traditions.
Today the railway line from Zaragoza to Barcelona still passes , although as in many other places the station is no longer used and few trains stop.
The most outstanding place of interest is the parish church of Santa María Magdalena. It is a neoclassical building, built in 1774 on an old Romanesque temple.
In the municipality there are also several prehistoric sites, such as the tomb found in 1926 that contained various tools and objects. And in the caves of the Chimeras were found six sepulchres of the Neolithic period.
