Sant Jaume dels Domenys
Sant Jaume dels Domenys is a municipality in the Baix Penedès located in the northeastern area of the region, at the foot of the Montmell mountain range and surrounded by mountains and with many paths for hiking routes of all difficulties. Its location, 213 m above sea level in the center of Sant Jaume, makes us find places with spectacular views of the entire Penedès plain. The land has three well-defined sectors. To the north of the line that goes from Mount Gomila (413 m) to Mount Llobets (302 m) and Pi-sol (413 m) it is very rugged and of Cretaceous limestone nature. It has a Roman past, the place name of Vila Domenio is documented in the year 938 where there was a Roman villa, we highlight the Roman remains of the Roman aqueduct of Els Arcs and the Roman Bridge of Cornudella as well as some medieval remains, the Tower of Feal.
