Vidrà

Vidrà is a municipality of just over 34 km ², formed by the nucleus of Vidrà, the Creu de l'Arç and the Ciuret neighborhood, and different country houses.

It is located north of the Osona region, to which it belongs since 1989, although, in fact, it is part of the province of Girona.

It is surrounded by the pre-Pyrenees mountains to the north (Sierra de Milany and Santa Magdalena) and the Transversal mountain range to the southeast ( Cumbres de Puigsacalm, Puig Curull, Puig Toselli, Puig dels Llops and Puig de les Àguiles).

The entire term is included in the PEIN (Plan of Natural Interest Areas) except the enclaves of Vidrà, the neighborhood of Ciuret, and part of Collfred (farmhouse).

The landscape is impressive, from some Vidrá peaks you can see the Bay of Roses, the Plana de Vic-Montseny, the Pedraforca, the Cordilleras del Cadí and the Canigó.

Noteworthy are the beech groves, the oak groves, and also the various fountains, waterfalls and monumental trees that are places worth visiting and contribute to give the environment more charm and interest.

Places of interest

Milany Castle: The remains of the castle of Milany are located at 1,525 m in a Rocal municipality of Vidrà, on the border with Vallfogona de Ripollès.

Masía del Caballero de Vidrà: This house was built in 1787. In the construction of a French masterpiece. Sober manor house, with decorative details such as lintels, with three floors and porch on the floor.

Neighborhood of Ciuret: The neighborhood of Ciuret located 6 km from Vidrà, and 1,155 meters above sea level, is formed by the mansions of the House of Baix, Can Font, El Moreu and Can Pubill.
