Vilamaniscle
Vilamaniscle is located in the north of the Alt Empordà region. The municipal term has an extension of 5.50 Km2.
It limits to the north with the term of Llançà, to the south with Garriguella and to the west with Rabós.
The Albera Natural Park surrounds the entire town, and in the term you can still find free specimens of the Albera Turtle, currently protected. It is also common to find roe deer, badgers, foxes and wild boar. It is also close to the Cabo de Creus Park (15 minutes) and the Aiguamolls del Empordà (15 minutes). Thus, Vilamaniscle is surrounded by Natural Parks, which mark the landscape and keep it very intact.
The Vilamaniscle terroir is made up of slates, the well-known slate, which makes the area's wines of exceptional quality. You will find two wineries of the Denomination of Origin Empordà, Bodega AV Bodeguers and Bodega Mas Polit, as well as a honey producer.
