The Baix Llobregat once again launches the initiative "Apassiona't al Baix Llobregat".
An initiative to discover two of the most outstanding theatrical productions in Catalan culture: La Passió d'Esparreguera and La Passió d'Olesa de Montserrat. Recognised as Festivals of National Interest, these large-scale productions, with over 500 years of history and the involvement of hundreds of people, offer a unique and immersive cultural experience.
Beyond the performances, the campaign invites visitors to plan a complete getaway combining culture, charming accommodation, gastronomy and key tourist attractions. Highlights include the Seven Balconies of Montserrat, the Montserrat caves in Collbató, the Colonia Sedó Museum in Esparreguera, the Cal Puigjaner Cultural Centre in Olesa de Montserrat and the Enrajolada-Santacana House Museum in Martorell, all reflecting the region's historical and natural richness.
Wine tourism and food lovers will also find plenty of options to enjoy the area and discover its local flavours and products.
Main highlights of the Passions
The 2026 season of La Passió d'Esparreguera runs from March 15 to May 1, with a total of nine performances. These include a classic version (3 performances), maintaining the traditional structure, and a new format (6 performances), a more dynamic proposal designed to connect with today's audiences.
La Passió d'Olesa de Montserrat aims to bring the story closer to modern audiences this year. Performances will take place from March 15 to May 1, 2026, featuring renewed staging, new special effects and an expanded soundtrack that enhances the emotional intensity of the production. Simultaneous subtitles in Spanish and English will also be available.
If you wish to visit the theatre of La Passió d'Olesa, you can request a visit by emailing [email protected] (subject to availability).
Special discounts for visitors
The "Apassiona't al Baix Llobregat" campaign also offers special ticket promotions. By entering the code "TURISMEBLL26" at the time of purchase, you can benefit from exclusive discounts.
More unique experiences for Easter
In addition to the Passions, Baix Llobregat offers other highlighted Easter celebrations, such as Sant Vicenç dels Horts, one of the most important in the region, known for its traditional processions, as well as the Easter celebrations in Castelldefels.
