Meet Your Coffee Awards Barcelona 2026
The MY Coffee Awards are back in Barcelona with a fifth edition full of new features!
Barcelona takes coffee very seriously. And it also knows how to play with it. Specialty coffee has become a meeting point for culture, creativity, and community, and the MY Coffee Awards are one of its major events.
From November 6 to 8, 2026, Nau Bostik will host the fifth edition of the MY Coffee Awards, three days to discover new ways of drinking, learning, competing and connecting around coffee.
The 2025 edition brought together more than 15,000 attendees, visitors from over 35 countries, 100 participating companies, and more than 70 roasters, with nearly 60,000 cups served. This year, the festival returns with a program that combines high-level competition, workshops, tastings, and experiences that connect coffee with design, hospitality, inclusion, and urban leisure.
News and experiences
A coffee speakeasy
One of the biggest new features will be the first speakeasy bar within a coffee event, a Monin initiative to explore the world of beverages from a more experimental perspective. The space will also offer workshops in collaboration with Incapto and Oatly, featuring new techniques, ingredients, and ways to prepare coffee.
New textures and signature drinks
Oatly will present Oatly Barista Cold Foam, a plant-based cold foam that opens up new possibilities for creating beverages with different textures, combinations, and presentations. This dairy-free option also makes these drinks accessible to people who don't consume milk, including those with lactose intolerance.
At their stand you can discover different signature drinks, including one created by Suki Ma, Swiss champion of Coffee in Good Spirits in 2026 and sixth ranked in the world championship of the discipline that same year.
Latte Art with 64 participants
The competition will once again be one of the festival's main attractions. The Latte Art Championship, promoted by Marco and Oatly, will bring together 64 participants and aims to become the largest competition of its kind held in the country.
An opportunity to see live how baristas transform steamed milk into drawings on coffee, combining precision, creativity and speed.
Silent Barista: a coffee shop that breaks down barriers
At Nomad Coffee Academy, visitors can discover Silent Barista, an initiative that invites them to order coffee from a deaf person using sign language. This experience encourages reflection on communication, accessibility, and hospitality through an everyday gesture like ordering a drink.
34 international champions in Barcelona
The Room of Champions will be one of the most special spaces at this year's event. The organizers plan to bring together 34 champions there, boasting a combined record of 74 titles, including nine world championship podium finishes.
Professionals from different countries and disciplines will participate, such as Barista Championship, Brewers Cup, Cup Tasters, Latte Art, Coffee in Good Spirits and Cezve/Ibrik.
Among the prominent names are Dale Harris, world barista champion in 2017; Ben Put, with several world podium finishes; Bavis Kwong, third in the Brewers Cup world championship in 2026; Catherine Queiroz, second in the Cup Tasters world championship in 2026, and Andrés Paparoni Bartoloni, Spanish barista champion in 2026.
Beyond the competition, this space will allow participants to get closer to the protagonists of the international scene and share knowledge, preparation methods and experiences with them.
BEANS: a new way to evaluate coffee
The fifth edition will also mark a new chapter for MY COFFEE GUIDE, with the launch of its new website and the BEANS evaluation system.
The initiative aims to help discover and compare coffee shops based on defined evaluation criteria, focusing on the quality behind each cup. It's a tool for consumers and professionals to explore specialty coffee with more information and discover worthwhile options.
Among the cafes that have already undergone the evaluation are Nomad Coffee Bar, Dalston Coffee, Brew Coffee and Àmbar, in Barcelona, as well as establishments in Madrid, Valencia, Bilbao, Lisbon and other cities.
Barista Hero: Recognizing those who make every coffee special
Excellence also lies in the attention, the personal touch, and the ability to transform a visit to a coffee shop into a truly memorable experience. That's the spirit of Barista Hero, La Marzocco's initiative that recognizes professionals for their hospitality, dedication, and positive impact on the community.
Customers and coffee lovers can nominate their favorite baristas by sharing their stories. The winner will receive a La Marzocco Linea Micra, a token of appreciation for the talent and human touch of those behind the bar.
Learn, share and discover Barcelona
The MY Coffee Awards are an opportunity to discover new coffee shops, techniques, and trends without needing to be an expert. They're a meeting point for baristas, roasters, brands, food professionals, and curious individuals who find in coffee a way to connect.
With this fifth edition, the festival continues to build a space where specialty coffee is understood as a product, craft, culture and shared experience.
From November 6th to 8th, come to Nau Bostik and discover everything that can happen around a cup of coffee.
