Caramellas in Guissona

For Easter every year the traditional Caramelles are celebrated in Guissona!
On Sunday morning, songs will fill the streets of Guissona, with the most important song taking place in the main square after the Caramelles breakfast , around 9am.
Caramelles are a popular tradition in Catalonia that takes place during Holy Week and consists of singing religious songs in the houses or in the streets. The lyrics of the songs are usually religious in theme, and are intended to remember the most notable events of Holy Week, such as the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
