Cattus Day in Guissona

Cattus Day returns to the Guissona Museum with a unique day dedicated to the city's most revered feline: the Iesso cattus. A blend of satire, history, and fun, this celebration has become a must-attend event for cat lovers and local culture enthusiasts, with a program packed with family-friendly, humorous, and creative activities.

The day will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the opening of the museum doors, giving way to a day full of activities. At 11:00 a.m., the Cattus and Baco parade will take place, with festive music from the Margeners group, which will fill the streets with a popular and joyful atmosphere.

Starting at 12 p.m., young and old can participate in games and workshops to discover "the secrets of the Cattus Empire," a fun and educational experience that combines history, imagination, and community spirit.

In the afternoon, the festivities will continue at 5 p.m. at the Cattusianes Delicatessen, where you can sample the favorite snack of the day's star. Then, at 6 p.m., Alea Cattus will arrive, with workshops, raffles, gifts, and activities for everyone, in honor of the ever-present Cattus, the festival symbol.

Throughout the day, you can participate in "The Cattus Game," a family activity exploring the feline's domain, and in the photocall with Iesso's Cattus, perfect for capturing the moment. Charity donations—food, blankets, and other materials—will also be collected for the Segarra cat associations.
