Chestnut festival in Pardines

On November 1st, Pardines celebrates its traditional Castañada, a festive day full of family activities and autumn spirit.

At 11:00 a.m., in the Study Room, there will be a children's workshop on crafts and pumpkin carving, where the little ones can shape their creations and prepare for the party.

In the afternoon, starting at 5:30 p.m., the Plaza del Padró will be filled with autumn aromas with the popular Castañada.

As is tradition, the children of the village will go door-to-door collecting candy. The Festival Committee encourages all residents to participate by offering sweets and contributing to the festive atmosphere. During the Chestnut Festival, decorated pumpkins made by the children can be collected and placed in front of the houses.

At 7:30 p.m., all participants will meet in Plaza del Padró to begin the route. The children will only knock on doors that have pumpkins outside, a symbol that sweets await them.
