Tona
This event is over.

Once again, Tona is celebrating the European Heritage Days (EHD), an initiative of the Council of Europe and the European Commission that has been held uninterruptedly in Catalonia since 1991. It is considered the most important participatory activity in Europe related to cultural heritage.

The activity will take place on Saturday, October 10, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with the meeting point at Pau Casals Street, 2. During the visit, participants will be able to learn more about the site, understand its historical importance, and get a closer look at the archaeological work that allows us to reconstruct the lives of the people who inhabited this territory centuries ago.

The tour will allow visitors to observe the preserved remains and interpret them within their context, discovering how archaeology helps explain the evolution of Tona and its surroundings. The proposal thus offers an opportunity to view heritage from a different perspective, beyond the visible buildings and monuments, and delve into the layers of history hidden beneath the current landscape.

The visit is part of the European Heritage Days, an initiative that every autumn invites people to rediscover monuments, archaeological sites and historical spaces through educational activities and special visits.

A great opportunity to visit Tona, discover its archaeological heritage up close and better understand how the past has helped shape the current municipality.
