Fem Net, popular washing in the village laundries in Guissona

Fem Net is back in Guissona for another year! The popular laundry festival in the town's laundries, an event full of tradition and conviviality.

As every year, residents gather to recreate this ancient practice, something that for centuries was essential to daily life.

The washhouses, located in the heart of the village, bustle with activity. A group of Guisonese residents relive the old-fashioned conversations they had in the days of our mothers and grandmothers. The elders tell anecdotes while the young women learn ancient techniques. Traditional songs and laughter fill the air, creating an atmosphere of brotherhood and nostalgia.

The day continues with a communal snack, where everyone shares traditional dishes such as bread with oil and hot chocolate and enjoys good conversation.

Finally, we say goodbye to the day with a live music show, where you can also enjoy traditional Catalan dance.
