Sant Isidre Festival in Castellví de Rosanes

The most notable event in the festival calendar of Castellví de Rosanes is the last weekend of May, when the Festival of Sant Isidre, which is the patron saint of the municipality, is celebrated. The celebrations begin with a massive brotherhood dinner where neighbors gather around the square to welcome a weekend full of activities.

One of the highlights of the festival is the Agriculture, Commerce and Organization Fair that is held on Sunday morning around the square, accompanied by a Popular Culture Exhibition. At the fair you can buy Km0 cherries (be careful, if you arrive late, they may have already run out) and also different bakery products, sausages, cheeses, wines and cavas. The entities will present their activities, you will be able to enjoy a festive atmosphere until well into midday while you watch the dance of the giants of Castellví de Rosanes, Guillem and Ermesenda, former lords of Castellvell, and also Mossèn Ramon, the giant of the town.

If you want to complete the day, take the opportunity to request a guided tour a few days before the cellars and museum of Celler Ramon Canals, located a few meters from the fair space, to complete a round morning in Castellví de Rosanes. The museum houses a spectacular private collection, unique in Catalonia, which brings together more than 4,500 pieces related to the world of vineyards dating from the 19th century.
