Sant Martí Festival in Altafulla

Everything ready to celebrate the Major Festival of Sant Martí de Altafulla!

The Sant Martí de Altafulla Festival, which will be held from November 1 to 16, comes with a wide-ranging program of activities that combines tradition, culture, music, and entertainment for all ages.

The program kicks off on October 31st with the Passage of Terror in the Parque del Comunidor, followed by the Chestnut Festival with DJ Jarras, kicking off two intense weeks of celebration. During the first few days of November, Altafulla will host activities such as the table football championship, the Pepe Pijuan Memorial, concerts, workshops, and family shows such as the Més Tumàcat Music Show.

The main days of the Festival will be filled with traditional and popular events. Highlights include the Festival Announcement, this year led by the Grallers de Altafulla, the Popular Parade with all the elements of the procession, the Sant Martí Towers Festival, the Fire Run, and the Sant Martí Street, where the legend of the saint will be reenacted and the layer cake can be tasted. There will also be sporting activities, exhibitions, cultural events, and parties for young people, such as a concert with Spoty Flight and DJ Jarras.

November 11th, the day of Sant Martí, will mark the culmination of the celebration, with the Toc de Matinades (Touch of the Matinees), the Ascent of the Pillar up the stairs, the Sant Martí Procession, stick dancing and sardana dances, and the Final Fireworks, which will close the day with a grand spectacle of light and color.

The Altafulla Festival also emphasizes sustainability, equality, and civic responsibility, with events such as Punt Lila and Arc Iris, and the call to enjoy the festival with respect and responsibility. Throughout the month of November, there will be exhibitions, literary and cultural activities, and even the Ànima Jove International Animated Short Film Festival, which will close the month on a creative and international note.
