Festival of the Painting of Santa Rosalia in Torredembarra
Torredembarra celebrates the Santa Rosalia Painting Festival for another year!
The town of Torredembarra dedicates a celebration every July 14 and 15 in honor of Santa Rosalia, a saint who is credited with the virtue of making the plague disappear from the town in the 17th century.
The festival revolves around a large painting representing Santa Rosalia, located on Calle Major in Torredembarra. This painting is the central element of the celebration and is considered a relic for the inhabitants of the town.
During the celebration, the streets are transformed into a festive space with lots of decorations, music, dances and activities for the whole family.
