Living Nativity Scene of Jesus in Tortosa
Enjoy the traditional biblical drama with over 150 actors!
The town of Jesús (Tortosa) hosts a new edition of its emblematic Living Nativity Scene in the gardens of the Teresian Sisters' residence, one of the most outstanding representations in the Terres de l'Ebre.
The performance, spread over several sessions on different days (Christmas, Saint Stephen's Day, New Year's Eve), brings together more than 150 participants divided into over twenty scenes that bring the mystery of Christmas to life once again.
Besides biblical scenes, such as the Prophets, the Annunciation, and the Wedding of Joseph and Mary, visitors can also enjoy recreations of traditional trades like spinning, carpentry, and blacksmithing, among others. It also offers a glimpse into rural life of the time through a representation of a peasant's house.
