Cervera Winter Festival
Cervera celebrates its winter festival!
The Winter Festival is a deeply rooted part of Cervera's history and culture. The solemnity of the events celebrated during this Festival give a very special character to the festivities, which combine religious events with fun and festive ones.
The Canto de las Completes, a popular musical event, is particularly noteworthy. The Cervera Completes, written in 1870 by the chapel masters Salvador Vidal and Joan Pont, are composed of popular pieces of the period.
The Fiesta Mayor has been declared a heritage festival of national interest and is included in the Catalogue of Festive Heritage of Catalonia.
