Serrateix October festivities
Serrateix October festivities, in commemoration of the millennium of the monastery of Santa Maria de Serrateix with a concert, a mass commemorating the founding of the monastery and a popular lunch.
In Serrateix, there are two buildings of interest, historically related: Sant Pere and the Monastery of Santa Maria; Both have important pre-Romanesque and Romanesque elements and from other periods. This complex is unique in the entire Llobregat and Cardener axis.
In addition, guided tours can be made at the Monastery of Santa Maria, a service of the Board of Friends of Serrateix. Its objectives are to publicize and preserve the Monastery and all the heritage of the municipality of Viver i Serrateix.
