Olive Oil Festival in Vila-seca

Vila-seca celebrates the Oil Festival to pay homage to the peasant tradition and the culture of oil!

The Castell de Vila-seca will host the Oil Festival, an initiative organized by the Municipal Tourism Board and the Vila-seca Agricultural Cooperative, with the support of the City Council.

This event was created to pay tribute to the farmers and the olive-growing tradition of the region, while also highlighting the quality and distinctive character of the olive oil produced in Vila-seca. As the mayor points out, this festival is "a recognition of a job well done and the strength of cooperation that keeps our identity alive."

A weekend full of activities

Throughout the weekend, the Castle garden will host the sale of Escomes olive oil (Siurana PDO) and other local products, as well as competitions, workshops, and activities for all ages. A bar and rest area will also be available.

The program will include creative offerings such as a wine and olive oil painting workshop, expert-led tastings, children's workshops, culinary competitions, and family activities like the "In Search of Liquid Gold" scavenger hunt. The public can also enjoy live music, talks on gastronomy and oil painting culture, and a charity vermouth event featuring locally sourced products.

Entry to the Olive Oil Festival is free, but some activities require prior registration, with limited places available!
