King James I's Day in Salou
Year after year, Salou and its inhabitants commemorate the feat accomplished by King James I: the conquest of Mallorca. During the festivities, the events that took place in the natural port of Salou, dating back to 1229, are staged in a playful way.
During the procession of King James I, various medieval music and entertainment groups will bring history back to life. You will also enjoy a medieval market with crafts and food, musical performances and theatre performances. There will also be a gastronomic tribute.
It is an event where history comes to life and where both locals and visitors can enjoy an experience that combines entertainment, education and culture.
