Festival of the Virgin of Pallerols in La Sénia
Every year, on the third Sunday in September, the town of La Sénia is transformed into a festival of color thanks to the ephemeral carpets made of dyed shavings and snails that adorn the streets for the procession.
The festive events begin with participatory and nostalgic elements, including children's games, hot chocolate, the distribution of "quemado" (burning chocolate), and concerts organized by residents and the city council. Sunday becomes the culmination with a morning carpet-rolling ceremony and an afternoon Mass and procession, accompanied by music and a floral offering to the Virgin.
A festival that keeps devotion to the Virgin of Pallerols alive with a fusion of community art, spirituality, and popular culture, encouraging local participation and connecting with the region's deepest traditions.
Check out the program and experience an evening filled with light and identity!
