Popular Xatonada of Calafell
This escarole-based salad, characteristic of Greater Penedès, had never stopped being consumed at home and appeared on the menus of some establishments. But the entry of Calafell into the Xató Route, in 2001, gave renewed impetus to this traditional recipe.
In the popular Xatonada of Calafell you will find, apart from many gastronomic incentives, the generational bond that passes from elders to grandchildren year after year, where everyone, teachers and students, make one of the best sauces in the Mediterranean: the Xató de Calafell sauce.
There will also be a craft food fair and a cava plate meeting.
