Anglesola
The municipality of Anglesola is located in the center of the Urgell region, at an altitude of 335 m. It is crossed by the A2, the motorway from Barcelona to Lleida, on the southern limit of the term, and in the eastern area, the regional road C-53 runs from Tàrrega to Balaguer.
Agricultural village located in the flattest area of the region. The Urgell canal crosses its term and determines an irrigated area where corn, alfalfa, vegetables and fruit trees are grown. Crops in the rainfed area are wheat, barley, olive trees and almond trees. Agricultural activity is complemented by a significant number of cattle farms and some small industries.
As for its historical heritage, a large number of noble buildings have been preserved which, together with the porches of Calle Mayor, the church of San Pablo de Narbona, the remains of the Castle of Anglesola and the incipient Espai del Carro make the town a interesting place to visit.
We must also take into account the term of Anglesola with quite spectacular places where you can make excursions of little difficulty and at the same time enjoy a placid and very pleasant environment, which, depending on the seasons of the year, impresses the visitor due to its diversity of color.
