Aspa
Disassembled village to the left of the Set River, at 260 m. altitude and very picturesque. With a large number of stone houses. It is located in the southeast of the Segrià region, in an area of great scenic interest and with a great diversity of flora and fauna. 85% of the municipal term is included within the Special Protection Area for Birds (ZEPA) and the Mas de Melons-Alfés Natura 2000 Network space.
Aspa currently has a population of 221 inhabitants. Much of the population is engaged in agriculture. Barley, olive and almond trees are grown, although we can also find some livestock farms. Aspa's main industry is the Cooperativa del Campo where visitors can see the process of making a high-quality extra virgin olive oil.
The olive trees are the undisputed protagonists of its landscape, solid traces of a natural environment as it is pure, which transmits the hardness and sobriety of its crops.
