Cabacés

Cabassers officially Cabacés and improperly called, is a town and municipality of the Priorat region.

It is located in the northwest of the region, on the border with the Ribera de Ebro. To the north is the end of the Bisbal of Falset, in the northeast, Margalef, to the east, that of the Morera de Montsant, in the the southeast of the High Vilella, and the south of the Figuera and Higuera, all of Priorat. The west side is bordered by the Ribera de Ebro: Tower Spanish southwest and west, Vinebre west and Palma de Ebro in the west and northwest.
Cabacés is the official place name, but the Institute of Catalan Studies has always defended the Cabassers way, was the official name until 1989

In the thirteenth century appears, for this population, the Arabic name "Abinkabaser".
