Els Torms
The town of Els Torms is located on a hill in the Valle Mayor, at an altitude of 476 meters, in the region of Les Garrigues, with a population of around 200 inhabitants.
The main activity of the town is agriculture and livestock, where its olive, almond and fruit crops stand out.
Its municipal district limits to the north with Soleràs, to the east with Juncosa, to the south with Bellaguarda and to the west with La Granadella.
As points of tourist interest, the Joan Benet i Petit school stands out, which was one of the four that the Commonwealth of Catalonia built in 1917, the Baroque-style church of San Juan Bautista dating from the year 1700, the lush pine forests and oak that draw a magnificent landscape or the different natural sources such as "la Font Joana".
The economy of Els Torms is based on agriculture and mainly on the production of excellent quality olive oil, recognized with several awards. In the municipality we can find two cooperatives where this oil is sold in addition to different products such as wine, olives, honey, etc.
