Massoteres
The municipality of Massoteres is located in the NE sector of the Guissona plain and reaches the banks of the Llobregós, which forms the northern limit of the municipality. It limits with the terms of Guissona (W), San Guim de la plana (S), Torà (E) and Biosca (N). It includes the towns of Massoteres, head of the municipality, Talteüll and Palou de Torà, as well as the Campreal sanctuary.
The municipality complements the agricultural economy with livestock. The old town is made up of an almost circular street with short, covered alleys at some points or dead ends. It is worth noting, Can Soler, of Renaissance type, with a voussoired portal, a tile in the corner and heraldic shields and Cal Pintor, with noble emblems. You enter the old town through a portal and an open street on the south side.
The parish church of San Salvador de Massoteres, of neoclassical construction, is also part of the old fence. In front of this complex, a suburb was formed already in the 18th century and towards the 1980s a large square was developed.
Massoteres was part of the demarcation of the castle of Talteüll (and ecclesiastically it also depended on the parish of Talteüll).
