Vilanova de Segrià
At one end of the old closed town, somewhat elevated, stands out the parish church of San Sebastián, in transition from Romanesque to Gothic, with a semicircular apse and Tolosan cartouches and a two-sided façade; the image of San Salvador is preserved, which has been considered a pantocrator of the thirteenth century. The parish had had various foundations, such as the chapel of Santa María, founded by Joan Viacamps in 1458, of which the Nebots, lords of Montalé and landowners of the town were patrons. In the place where Castellnou de Segrià stood, a modern chalet has been built among the remains of the old crushed stone walls. The modern expansion follows the axis of the road.
The main festival is celebrated on the weekend closest to January 20, in honor of the patron saint of this town, San Sebastián. There is a procession, mass and distribution of blessed bread. The weekend closest to July 16 is the summer festival. In February, for Santa Águeda, the festival of women is celebrated, the Águedas (married women) and Apolonias (single women). On May 1, the festival of Las Cazuelas is celebrated.
