Asparagus season in Gavà
The Gavà Asparagus Season is a celebration that highlights one of the city's most emblematic products: the white asparagus of Gavà.
As part of the 71st Asparagus Fair, the event combines tradition, gastronomy, music, commerce, and community life, becoming a vibrant expression of Gavà's identity. Under the slogan "Fem Fira!" (Let's Have the Fair!), the 2026 edition celebrates the collaborative efforts of farmers, restaurateurs, organizations, merchants, and visitors, who make possible a festival deeply rooted in local history since 1932.
During this period, the municipality offers a diverse program for all audiences. The music program fills Jaume Balmes Square with concerts and DJ sets between April 30 and May 3.
At the same time, GastroGavà invites visitors to sample menus, dishes, and tapas made with white asparagus from Gavà, both at participating establishments and at the fair itself. The celebration also includes the Agricultural Showcase, considered the heart of the fair, featuring traditional baskets of vegetables and seeds, as well as the Commercial Showcase, the Shop Window Competition, and the Associations Showcase, all of which strengthen the connection between local produce, the economic fabric, and citizen participation.
