Autumn Concert Series in Santa Perpètua de Mogoda

In 1992, the Association launched a new cultural initiative: the Autumn Concerts, with the aim of enriching the cultural life of Santa Perpètua de Mogoda. This series of performances has allowed us to enjoy highly acclaimed and prestigious groups and soloists, with a diverse program that includes classical, traditional, jazz, and many other genres.

In the early years, the concerts were held in the incomparable setting of the Santiga church. Later, due to limited capacity, the performances were moved mainly to the La Granja Soldevila Espai Cultural auditorium, the El Vapor Civic Center, and the Santa Perpètua de Mogoda Parish Center.

Special mention must be made of the collaboration of the Municipal School of Music and Dance and the Renaixença Choir, who have enriched our concerts with the performances of their students and their voices. Since then, their participation has contributed, year after year, to completing the concert program that the Association has offered with top-level ensembles and soloists.

The first event will be on October 19th, at 12 pm, with a free guitar and clarinet concert in the church of Santiga.

Performers Xavier Luque (guitar) and Antonio Galán (clarinet), professors at the Municipal School of Arts (EMA), will present a program inspired by works by Manuel de Falla, Enrique Granados, Isaac Albéniz, and Astor Piazzolla. Among the pieces they will perform are Falla's Danza del molinero, Albéniz's Granada, and Piazzolla's Historia del tango.

The second event will be a concert by the Cor Jove del Orfeó Català, taking place on November 9th at 6:00 pm in the Centre's theater. The program offers a musical journey from the Baroque to English Romanticism. Tickets, priced at €15, are available to the general public through the Entrápolis platform. The Cor Jove del Orfeó Català will perform under the direction of Pablo Larraz, with Joan Seguí on organ and Ulrike Haller as soprano soloist.
