European Heritage Days in Sant Celoni

Coinciding with the European Heritage Days, Sant Celoni organizes guided tours to discover the attractions of the municipality.

The guided tour "Pertegàs and La Força, a walk through medieval Sant Celoni". Visit to Sant Martí de Pertegàs, the town's old Romanesque parish, and the Gothic mansion of the Rectoria Vella. Afterwards, we will visit the Força or medieval fortified center, to see the Força tower and the apse and one of the walls of the Romanesque chapel of Sant Celoni. The itinerary ends in the Romanesque chapel of Sant Ponç, from the old leper hospital.

And the guided tour "The parish church of Sant Martí and the splendor of the baroque". The magnificent façade of the parish church of Sant Celoni has the most outstanding baroque sgraffito decoration (1762) in Catalonia. It is structured in the shape of an altarpiece, with the virtues, musical angels, heavenly glory... The itinerary continues inside the temple and ends with the climb to the bell tower, with spectacular views of the town.
