Figueres Toy Festival
The Figueres Toy Festival is an event that brings together exhibitors from Catalonia, the rest of Spain, and other countries such as France, Belgium, Italy, and the Netherlands. This festival is usually held during the second Passover (Pentecost). Its 31st edition will take place on Sunday, June 8, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., in Plaça Catalunya.
The event will allow attendees to learn about, buy, sell, or exchange collectible toys.
The Toy Festival will also offer the opportunity to discover two handwritten letters that the Granada-born poet, writer, and playwright Federico García Lorca wrote to Anna Maria Dalí, Salvador Dalí's sister. These letters reflect the friendship between García Lorca and the Dalí family and are based on the theme of "Don Osito Marquina," a toy that fascinated García Lorca and is on display at the Toy Museum.
