Guided tours of the Iber dels Estinclells village in Verdú

This is an important Iberian site dating back to the 3rd century BC, owned by the Verdú Town Council. The Poblat dels Estinclells is one of the most important archaeological sites in the area, providing a firsthand look at the organization and daily life of an Iberian community before Romanization.

The Estinclells fortress is located on the plain of a small hill, about three kilometers from the town of Verdú , in a strategic location that offered a wide visual command over the valley. The complex is mainly made up of several defensive elements, such as a moat and a stone wall surrounding the enclosure, as well as a series of dwellings of different sizes and structures, a pond for collecting water, and a cobbled street that organized the interior space of the settlement. The elements demonstrate careful urban planning and a clear defensive intention, typical of the Iberian communities of the period.
