Musical Vespers of Sant Cecília de Bolvir

The Musical Eve of Saint Cecilia of Bolvir, held throughout December and early January, is one of the town's most special cultural events, a musical gathering that combines tradition, artistic quality, and an intimate atmosphere characteristic of the Christmas season. The series of evenings takes place in the Auditori, a welcoming space that becomes the ideal setting to enjoy a variety of deeply moving performances.

The first concert takes place on December 6th, after the lighting ceremony and fireworks display in San Isidro Square. On this occasion, the audience can enjoy the Opus One Orchestra performing Mike Oldfield's Ommadawn, a show that blends contemporary sounds with atmospheric melodies, ideal for opening the winter music season.

The series continues on December 27th, an action-packed day culminating in two performances: first, a musical tasting with Enric Llucià and his show "10 més u," which combines original compositions and covers with an intimate and emotive stage presence. Following this, at 9 pm, the Auditori hosts the Pure Tango Concert, a captivating journey through the classic and modern repertoire of tango, performed with the power and precision that characterize this style.

The series resumes on New Year's Day, January 3rd, with another evening dedicated to taste and music. First, there will be a tasting with Dora, followed by a concert by the duo Katerina Pisetsky and Dmitry Brekhov, who offer an elegant and virtuosic performance, perfect for a cultural start to 2026.

Taken together, the Musical Eve celebrations of Bolvir form a sound itinerary that accompanies the festivities with sensitivity, diversity and artistic quality, reinforcing the role of music as an essential element of coexistence and celebration in the town.
