Ratafía Fair in Santa Coloma de Farners
The reference fair for ratafía producers is back. Santa Coloma de Farners hosts the fair where you can enjoy the latest news and exclusive and unique productions of this liquor. The Ratafia Festival highlights this traditional drink and makes Santa Coloma de Farners, capital of the Selva, also become the capital of ratafia.
Ratafía is a typical Catalan drink made by hand with brandy and medicinal herbs. Traditionally ratafía is made for San Juan, which is when the herbs are at their best.
The gastronomic themes that we find at the festival are many and varied since they range from casseroles of products cooked with ratafía or with the herbs that ratafía contains, the popular ratafía cake, ratafía infusion, ratafía soft drink or beer with ratafía.
You can also participate in workshops in which the artisanal production of ratafía will be taught.
