REC, Tarragona International Film Festival

Once again this year the REC Festival is celebrated, dedicated to showing both national and international fiction or documentary feature films!

The REC Tarragona International Film Festival is a festival focused on new creation and the promotion of emerging talent, which has been held since the beginning of the century in the Mediterranean city of Tarragona (recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO).

Through its International Opera Prima Competition, with the first works of emerging creators, as well as its parallel sections, each year it is a showcase of contemporary forms of filmmaking. The drive for new talent is underlined by RECLab (founded in 2014), where new works are supported and directed to the international circuit.

Founded in 2001 as an Audiovisual Creation Exhibition, the Festival has evolved like the audiovisual language itself, giving voice to various manifestations (Live Cinema, video creation, etc.), always with an informative, open and festive character.

The Festival reaffirms its commitment to education, dissemination and knowledge of current cinema, as well as the training of audiences, which currently consolidates it as a platform to learn about today's cinema and the creators of tomorrow.
