Cistella
Cesta is part of the Alt Empordà region, province of Girona. The municipal term has an extension of 26 km2 and 130 m. of altitude.
The limits of the municipal area are to the north with Terrades and Llers, to the east with Avinyonet de Puigventòs, to the south with Lladó and to the west with Albanyà. It has added the nuclei of Nuestra Señora de Vida, La Ribera de Les Planes, Sant Baldiri and Vilarig.
