Vila-sana
At the end of the 19th century, the construction of the Urgell canal and the arrival of water allowed the massive introduction of irrigated crops and the reproduction of riparian plant species. The landscape, dotted with plane trees, poplars, ash trees or willows, the smoothness of the relief and the presence of small towns make this territory an ideal place for family bicycle routes. An original and tasty gastronomy is the ideal complement to enjoy the visit.
Without a doubt, the main attraction is the lake, the most important wetland area in the interior of Catalonia, which it shares with Ivars d'Urgell. After desiccated decades, it was recovered for environmental and tourist purposes in 2005.
