Vera Oil Fair in Bigues i Riells del Fai

Liquid gold is once again the protagonist in Bigues i Riells del Fai!

Come and discover the world of oil at the Vera Oil Fair, from the cultivation of the olive until the oil reaches your table at home. Bigues i Riells del Fai is part of the vera olive growing area and has the only oil mill in the region: the Can Sapera oil mill.

The vera olive is characterized by its productivity and its ability to adapt to adverse conditions. It is late maturing and produces a fruity oil, of an intense green color and with secondary aromas of mint and leaf. Additionally, at the Fair you can try the oil along with the artisan bread made in the municipality and its surroundings.

The Vera oil and artisan bread Fair is organized by the City Council and the Regional Council of Vallès Oriental, and has the support of the Slow Food Vallès commission (the international association that ensures kilometer zero products), the Network of Products of the Earth and the Barcelona Provincial Council.
