'Aplec del Caragol' of Lleida

The Aplec del Caragol de Lleida, is a great festival known throughout the State and Europe, twinned with other festivals and open to anyone who wants to have a good time, get to know the gastronomy, the city and, of course, the people of Lleida.

The Aplec del Caragol de Lleida is a gastronomic festival organized around snail cooking that is held in the city of Lleida at the end of May. The Aplec meals have snails as their main ingredient.

The Aplec begins on Friday afternoon and continues on Saturday and Sunday. Festivals, concerts, music, castellers, contests... endless activities for all tastes.

Once cooked, the snails are extracted from the shell with a wooden awl, somewhat longer than the usual toothpicks, and dipped in the alioli or vinaigrette.

Around gastronomy, the Aplec enjoys an extensive program of activities: shows, music from brass bands, festivals, dance exhibitions and castellers, fun contests... all free of charge and open to the general public.

In various settings and simultaneously, the Aplec is, throughout the weekend, a hectic and very fun party that you cannot miss!
