El Catllar

The CATLLAR Tarragonés is a municipality formed by various developments and farms, which is located to the right edge of the river Gaia on a small hill of 59 meters.

The municipality of the CATLLAR has a long history dating back to the eleventh century. The term of the CATLLAR was part of the territory ceded by the Count of Barcelona, ??Ramon Berenguer I, Montoliu Pontius in 1066, his family took the rights to the municipality until 1344, when he sold Humbert de Montoliu Pere Requesens.
