"Fira't de l'Espelta" in Mollet del Vallès

Autumn is fair time in the rural area of Gallecs. Under the slogan "Fira't de l'Espelta" (Fair for Spelt), the Rural Area Consortium and the Gallecs Agroecological Association organize the Spelt Fair.

Come and discover a world of history and flavor! The fair offers a wide range of activities that allow you to understand the cereal cycle firsthand, from sowing to processing. Visitors can delve into the process that transforms grain into flour, combining traditional methods with the most modern techniques, and enjoying a tour that highlights agroecology and the patient work of farmers. The experience is complemented by a wide selection of traditional games, explained in a simple way so that adults and children alike can play and rediscover this time-honored pastime.

Children's workshops, such as the one where they can make artisanal bread, offer a unique opportunity to touch, knead, and discover one of the most emblematic foods of our region. There is also a space dedicated to cooking, where professionals like Marina Duñach share creative and accessible recipes for incorporating spelt into everyday cooking and exploring all its possibilities.

The much-anticipated tastings are also on offer, from Galician breads to dishes made with spelt and seasonal vegetables, accompanied by artisanal beverages like beer or kombucha.
